So are the days of our lives...
I have bought a new car (well, the bank has bought a new car) but I am driving a new car :) new for me ...not new new- thinking her name will be Bella cos she is beautiful and black - I was thinking of giving her an african princess name... But stuggled with pronunciation
Celebrated my 21 plus 10th birthday a week or so ago... Went out partying til 5am to prove I am still 21 (plus 10) not a good idea let me tell you... Man I am still recovering. Why were late nights not such a train smash when I was a few years younger **yikes... I know I'm not old, being 21 and all, but seriously, gone are the days of out every night and get up for work or to do stuff ... I pretty much spent the rest of the weekend catching up on sleep.
It was quite an entertaining kinda night so here are some snippets-we started out at a little spot called Spiros in Hout bay.. Little Greek restaurant, chilled vibes with family and friends.. at about 10 the DJ started playing and the old folks (older then plus 10) all scattered like flies- #tooloud... Us young folk (yes YOUNG) stayed...
Chatted a bit and then decided to walk to next destination ...which was closed? Fail.
by this stage my feet are already screaming "why do you hate me?? Please let me out of here"
so we start the next part of our walk towards Pakalolo- a car that looks suspiciously like Rene's car pulls up next to us - so I shout:
"Rene, its your car"
she shouts back:
"no you idiot, that's your boss"
Not embarrassing and definitely proof that whilst walking on the roads of Hout bay at night a 21 plus 10 year old should remember to keep their glasses on and mouths shut at all times..
So we arrive at Paki's in good order and guy walks up to me and says "hi! Do you remember me?"
*smack palm on face* ummmm **PaNiC**, search brain ! YES !!!
Apparently when referring to some ones younger brother it's not appropriate to say:
"oh ya I remember you, you're little *so and so..."
I have found that you shouldn't call boys "little" ever! - #youliveyoulearn
Then moved with the "little" brother to workshop then pirates... When we should at that point have called it quits - for you young peeps out there a word of advise - nothing good ever happens after 2am...go home! my feet were trying to tell me this ... But my pride was saying stay like a young peep ... Stoopid pride...
By this stage I had a guy confessing his undying love to me... That he'd loved me from the beginning of time mmm this should have been the final clue that it was home time but noooo... We stayed and all chatted while I dodged all sorts of situations... Must say my defense is on par with the stormers ! Very proud ! *chick of the match*
Feet now fully falling off we get a pie and go home... If I had assurance that I wouldn't be reprimanded I would tell u the adventure of the pepper steak pie on it's way home with my boots in my hand... What I will tell you tho... Is that we had a cheerleader, a wanna be knight in shining armour, pie face photo's *never to be seen* and barefeet.
All in all an eventful night ... Rest of the week - write off
